What is the CIPD?

The Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) is the professional body for all those involved in the management and development of people. Currently there are more than 135,000 individual members, and achieving a qualification from the CIPD is now seen as a fundamental requirement for professionals in the fields of HR/HRP/HRM. CIPD Foundation Programmes Overview

The CIPD Programmes on offer are The Diploma in HR Practice (HRP) and The Diploma in Learning 7 Development Practice (LDP) 

1. The Diploma in HR Practice (HRP)

This aimed at those HR Professionals who are currently working in, or a relatively new to Personnel work. It is a flexible programme providing a solid grounding in all aspects of People Management and Development.

This Programme is the most widely recognised qualification for those seeking success and credibility in the field of Learning and Development. The programme enables training and development professionals to develop the expertise to understand, identify, deliver and evaluate training within their organisation.

FAQs

Who should attend?

The programmes are designed to cover all the practical skills required by proficient and effective HR/HRD Specialists, HR Officers, Administrators, etc, as well as Trainers, training advisors or administrators.

Language:

There are no language or academic pre-determined entry requirements for this course.  However, a sound level of written and spoken English is required. The course is delivered in English, and Assignments and Project work must be written in English.

Programme dates:

We insist that there is a period of around 6/8 weeks between each Module. This allows the student to return to their workplace, review their learning, do research as needed, and write up their Assignment. Oakwood maintains regular contact with the client to advise on the progress of each student, with monthly updates as needed.

The course group size:

To ensure total focus and individual attention to each student, we keep maximum numbers to 12 on each programme.

What Qualifications do I need?

You should be currently working within an HR or Training role. The programmes are delivered in English so you should be reasonably fluent in written and spoken English and possess a good level of IT skills.

What about examinations?

There are no examinations. Each student must successfully complete 8-10 assignments (skill-based and theoretical/written based) as well as attending all training modules. You must also maintain records of continuous professional development. This work will be assessed by your Tutor and the CIPD.

When can I start the programme?

As soon as you can. We strongly recommend that you start at Module 1 and work your way through the programme. It is possible to achieve the qualification in less than a year provided you attend the modules and successfully complete the written work within that timescale.

What help do I get?

On the first day of your programme you will be assigned a mentor who will provide you with continual guidance and support throughout the whole programme so as to ensure success. You will also receive training and guidance of the very highest order.

How much it will cost me?

Each programme costs 30,000 SR. This price covers the CIPD registration & membership for one year, the training materials, the CIPD recommended course textbook, and the online assessment and help.

What will I gain from completing the Qualification?

You will achieve an internationally recognized qualification and certification from the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. You will have the opportunity to meet and network with professionals from a wide range of companies and countries within Saudi Arabia. This encourages an exchange of ideas and which can enhance your company practices. Group/cohort numbers will not exceed 12 people giving each student the opportunity to receive personal 1-to-1 coaching to help their overall development.
